Dear Pilots,
It is my heartiest honour to formally announce the resumption of operations at SVAG. We know that this downtime has been inconvenient and frustrating for some. Since December, the team has been tirelessly working to evaluate, configure and test multiple migration options with a long term outlook.
This is not the first time SVAG has undertaken a complete overhaul. We did it a decade ago when we moved from Simmiles to VAFS, and today we move again to a fully standalone platform independent of any third party developer. This ensures better stability and allows us to implement our own customization in future.
Over the years, all of us at SVAG have established a long-running legacy and we recognize the fact that the new platform currently does not carry over any of our previous pilot and flight data. The team holds all of our pilots’ contributions in high regard, we will spare no effort in working with Michael Smith and Sven of VAFinancials to restore everyone’s records and achievements as soon as possible.
As this is a completely new system set up under a tight schedule, there are some minor aesthetic or technical aspects that require further refinement in addition to other non-core features. Meanwhile, please be patient with us and if you encounter any teething issues or bugs, reach out to us right away.
During this period, we will also be allowing pilots to contact key staff members directly on Telegram to expedite addressing of technical issues. Please visit the private Facebook group for contact details.
